As part of our Careers Education programme at Saints Peter and Paul, we will be taking part in this year's National Apprenticeship week. It is an opportunity to find out more about apprenticeships, and careers in general, and to participate in a range of free activities from a wide variety of organisations. We have put together this pact to share some key links and resources. However, this information is not just for our students, it's designed to be valuable for parents, family members, friends and others in our wider community. So, we hope you find it useful!
All this information has been shared with students, encourage them to view their school email. Equally, a range of information, activities and resources will be shared with them (and you) throughout the week.
Students can attend virtual apprenticeship exhibitions to give them the opportunity to hear from current apprentices, speak to employers, get expert advice, and obtain details of how to apply, and where you can find out more information.
Tuesday 9th February 12pm – 6pm https://ucasapprenticeships.online-event.co/registration/ucas-16
Use the link to register for this event. It has a wide range of employers and apprenticeship providers, including Virgin, Barclays, Rolls Royce and many more! Once you register, you will also be registered for other events and activities going on each day throughout the week.
Wednesday 10th February 11am – 6pm https://nas.vfairs.com/
Use the link to register for this national event. As well as having over 50 exhibitors, there is a series of workshops scheduled throughout the day. Employers and apprenticeship providers include: AstraZeneca, Royal Air Force, Met Police, NHS, ALSTOM. You can return to the website for 30 days after the event and will be able to download information, view content etc.
Throughout the week we will be sharing a range of activities and resources with our students. Here are some links to useful resources, videos and activities. More can be found at the ‘amazing apprenticeships’ website.

We thought it would be useful to share links to websites and organisations where you can find out about current apprenticeships in our region and nationally. Here you can find apprenticeship vacancies that are live or coming up soon.
It is an opportune time to ask you to please encourage students to regularly access their school emails too, as the school Careers Education Team constantly share a range of careers information, advice and guidance for students all year groups.
As always, we thank you for your continued support and we hope you find this information useful, and enjoy National Apprenticeship Week (NAW”2021). Please email Mr Mullarkey if you require further information or support. mullarkeyc@saintspeterandpaul.halton.sch.uk.
Take care,
C Mullarkey
