On Wednesday 12th February 2020, 40 globetrotting students from College had the once in a lifetime opportunity to take part in a Business Studies visit to a true global hub of international business – New York City!
Throughout their few days, the student were able to visit some of the sights of the city including Times Square, the Rockafella Centre, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, 5th Avenue, Ground Zero, Central Park The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to name but a few.
It wasn’t all play though! While they were there, students were tasked with comparing the different sales techniques used in Macy’s and Bloomingdales and how they develop different product portfolios in order to attract different segments of their target market
They also had an educational tour around Madison Square Garden where they learned about the functional areas of the event management organisation.
Throughout the entire trip all students were a true credit to the school and were great ambassadors of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic College and all members of staff agreed unanimously that it was a pleasure to be involved in its organisation and execution.
Our students have returned to College full of enthusiasm for the subject, travelling and have been truly inspired by what they have seen.
