At Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School, Science is a key part of our commitment to forming intelligent, ethical and spiritually grounded young people.
Through Biology, Chemistry and Physics, we equip our students with the knowledge and curiosity to explore and shape the world around us responsibly.
“Science is a way of understanding the universe, and ourselves, better than we ever thought possible.”
Michio Kaku
Through the scientific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics, students will develop their scientific knowledge, skills and understanding about science in our everyday life and will be encouraged to have the confidence to ask questions and seek answers as scientists of the future
Our Science curriculum aims:
-
To inspire and encourage all students to be inquisitive and respectful learners about the world around us, how the world works, and our role within it as citizens, now and in the future.
-
To develop scientific literacy, enabling students to think critically, solve problems and make informed moral decisions.
-
To ensure equity and inclusion, so that all students, regardless of background or ability, are empowered to succeed in science.
-
To prepare students for the future, by linking learning to careers, technology, global challenges, and responsible stewardship.
We believe every young person is a potential scientist.
We offer:
-
STEM Oppportunities: Girls Get Set, All About STEM
