EXAMPLES OF PERMITTED COAT/JACKET STYLESEXAMPLES OF NON-PERMITTED COAT/JACKET STYLESFAQs ABOUT WINTER COATSQ. How does a coat colour affect my child's learning?A. We understand that some parents have asked how a black coat contributes to their child’s learning. While the colour itself does not affect learning directly, this change supports a number of practical and educational goals, by minimising disruption. A consistent approach reduces time spent asking students to remove non-uniform coats on arrival, helping to improve transition between lessons and ensuring more time is available for learning. Q. Why does the coat have to be black?A. Black coats have be chosen for the following reasons: Smart appearance: Dark coats align with our school’s overall uniform standards and tend to look smarter and more formal, which supports the professional learning environment we aim to maintain and encourages students to take greater pride in their appearance. Practicality: Suitable dark winter coats are generally more weather-resistant, easier to keep clean, and less likely to show wear and tear.
