Xanadu students shine in our school production spectacular

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School were thrilled to celebrate the final performance of our annual school production, which lit up the stage across two unforgettable nights on 17th and 18th December.

This year's production of Xanadu, was a fun-filled, energetic celebration of creativity, music and imagination, and a true testament to the talent and commitment of our school community and the expressive arts department.

Xanadu brought together students from all year groups, both on stage and behind the scenes. From the vibrant leads and dynamic ensemble to the skilled musicians, technicians and backstage crew, every student played a vital role in making the production such a success. Their dedication through weeks of rehearsals, learning challenging choreography and delivering confident, expressive performances was inspiring to see .

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Expressive Arts team, whose passion and expertise guided the production from its earliest stages to its final curtain call. In particular, we are incredibly grateful to:

  • Mrs Saunders, Musical Director

  • Mrs McGarry, Director

  • Mrs O’Brien, for her valued support

  • Miss Langton, Assistant Director and Choreographer

  • Mr Watts, Backstage Manager

Their commitment, creativity and encouragement have helped our students to achieve something truly special and make memories to last a lifetime.

We would also like to acknowledge the many staff and student helpers who supported promotion, social media, props, technical elements and logistics, as well as our site team and wider school staff, whose behind-the-scenes efforts ensured the production ran smoothly and safely .

Drama lead Mrs McGarry said, "This production of Xanadu has been a true labour of love and has proved to be a celebration of teamwork, resilience and artistic talent across all students and staff involved. We are immensely proud of everyone who contributed to this show and we can't thank our families and audience members from the school community enough for their enthusiastic support across both nights."

Well done to everyone involved for representing our school so brilliantly, and we can't wait for the next one.
