Congratulations to Former Student Dylan Hessey on TEAM GB GOLD IN EUROPE

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the amazing achievement of Dylan Hessey, a former Class of 2020 student at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School, who has won Gold for Team GB at the UEC BMX Freestyle Park European Championships this past weekend.

The BMX freestyle athlete impressed the judges with an enormous score of 95.20 on his second run to take the crown. Dylan’s dedication, determination, and passion for his sport have truly paid off, earning him a well-deserved place at the top of the podium and bringing home European glory.

His victory comes after winning bronze in last year’s event, and his success is a shining example of what hard work and perseverance can achieve, and an inspiration to all our current students.

In an interview with British Cycling, Dylan reflected on his win saying:

“Putting the work in every day, no days off. This was the aim. It wasn’t expected but the aim was to become European champion and I did that. It’s the best feeling ever. It’s one step closer to LA which is the real dream.”
