A huge congratulations to High Needs Lead Mentor, Mrs Pickering, winner of the Diversity, Collaboration, and Inclusion award at the 2025 Halton Borough Council Aiming High Education Awards.

Children, young people and staff from primary and secondary schools and colleges across Halton were honoured at the inaugural awards evening, in a special ceremony hosted by Cronton Sixth Form College to recognise the hard work, dedication and passion of the borough’s educators, support teams, students and the wider education community.
Principal, Mrs Scott said, ‘I am absolutely delighted that Mrs Pickering has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to our school community and the extraordinary support she provides for our children with additional needs. Her seemingly limitless patience, love, and compassion towards her students is inspirational and admirable and this award is thoroughly deserved.’
Deserved recognition also goes to all our shortlisted nominees who were also celebrated at the ceremony and we sincerely thank their families for all their support:

It was a lovely treat to spot former students in the Cronton Sixth Form College musical performance too.
Well done to you all!
